A 20-year-old Gainesville man suffered traumatic injuries and remains hospitalized following a crash on Wednesday.
According to the Hall County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO), officials responded to the scene on Mountain View Road at around 11:30 a.m.
HCSO spokesperson B.J. Williams said a passenger vehicle pulled out into the path of Loi Aiden Tomberlin’s motorcycle.
“The passenger vehicle that was being driven by 25-year-old Carlo Podesta De la Fuente of Oakwood was stopped at the stop sign at the west end of Buice Circle at Mountain View Road,” Williams said. “Mr. Tomberlin’s motorcycle struck the right rear driver’s side door of that passenger vehicle and he was ejected from the motorcycle and suffered some traumatic injuries at the scene.”
The collision reportedly occurred after Podesta De la Fuente pulled onto Mountain View Road to make a left turn. No charges have been filed at this point for either driver.
“At last report, Mr. Tomberlin remains hospitalized,” Williams said.
Williams added that there’s no indication that the driver of the passenger vehicle was injured. The investigation remains ongoing.
