NGPG adds new PA for Chestnut Mountain

By Jeremiah McBurrows Jr.

Northeast Georgia Physicians Group’s Chestnut Mountain office is bringing in two decades worth of experience with Julie Hopper as a new physicians assistant.

Hopper graduated with a masters degree in physician assistant studies from South University. She is skilled in a wide array of specialties, including: internal medicine, pediatrics, rheumatology, orthopedics and urgent care.

“I fell in love with the way [physician assistants] connected with patients and the role they played on the care team,” Hopper said, “I’ve spent most of my time in internal medicine, and it’s where I feel most at home.”

Hopper has deep roots in Gainesville, deepening her connection to the area. As a longtime resident and public servant, she says she hopes to be an effective addition to the team at NGPG.

“Whether I’m serving on a medical mission trip or helping patients navigate their health journey, I want to be someone they know they can trust,” Hopper said.
