Tallulah Falls School earns Southern Association of Independent Schools re-accreditation

By Logan Landers Anchor/Reporter

Tallulah Falls School recently earned re-accreditation from the Southern Association of Independent Schools.

SAIS accreditation is recognized throughout the world as a symbol of quality in education for students and teachers.

To earn its re-accreditation, the school was visited by a team of peer school representatives from across the region to review the school’s self-study, standards compliance and adherence to its mission.

“A lot of people played a role in putting our self-study together. It has helped us tremendously as a school to make this a successful environment for our students,” President and Head of School Dr. Larry A. Peevy said. “The re-accreditation process allowed us to look at ourselves closely and evaluate how we can continue making enhancements for our future.”

Accreditation serves as a critical component of a school’s effectiveness and ability to provide successful education for children.

The school also offers a college-preparatory education that includes the opportunity for students to take 21 dual-enrollment classes on campus which allows seniors to complete their first year of college before graduation.

Tallulah Falls School was founded in 1909 and serves over 500 students enrolled in grades 4-12.
