Barrow County held its Barrow Together Community Appreciation event on Saturday at Apalachee High School.
The event was held from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. and featured food vendors and visits from Pro Football Hall of Famers Terrell Davis and Champ Bailey, as well as former Atlanta Falcon Jessie Tuggle.
The event was held in appreciation for the support from the community in the wake of the tragic Sept. 4, 2024 shooting that took the life of four people and injured nine others.
The event was organized by Apalachee High School and the Barrow County School System with support from the Pro Football Hall of Fame, Big Brothers and Sisters of Metro Atlanta, Peach State Health Plan, and Centene Corporation.
Davis also visited Yargo Elementary School in Winder on Friday according to the school system’s Facebook page.
