Two men charged with felony burglary in break-in at Cleveland Highway home

By Lawson Smith Anchor/Reporter
Two men face felony burglary charges following a break-in at a residence on Cleveland Highway earlier in the month.

The Hall County Sheriff’s Office said deputies were called to the home on the 3200 block of the roadway on April 12. The victims in the case reported someone broke into the home and stole several items including two televisions, a Fire TV Stick, an Xbox 360 and controllers and assorted pieces of jewelry.

The victims provided video footage of two men entering the home at around 11 a.m. on the same day. The footage also showed a silver Mitsubishi SUV, which was later found abandoned in Lumpkin County.

Over the course of the  investigation, Anthony Ta, 30, of Statham, and Tyler Keith Adams, 39, of Oakwood, were named suspects in the case. An HCSO property crimes investigator determined the pair had allegedly left Hall County and traveled to the Athens area. The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office worked with HCSO to locate and arrest both suspects.

Ta was transported to the Hall County Jail on April 18, while Adams was transported on April 21.

Both remain in the Hall County Jail without bond.
