The countdown for Gainesville’s new Gainesville Public Safety Training Complex has started.

The City of Gainesville broke ground on Monday on the new facility, which is expected to be completed by spring of 2026.

The nearly 43,000-square-foot facility, located at 4300 Fullenwider Dr. off Candler Road in the southeastern part of Hall County, will have 10,000-plus square feet of training space and will serve as a centralized hub for both the Gainesville Police and Gainesville Fire departments, among other City entities.

The city says the new cutting-edge complex, which will have the latest state of the art technology, should ensure that citizens will receive the most advanced services from police and fire once the complex is finished.
