An 18-year-old Gainesville man was arrested on Wednesday in connection to a fight at Little River Park in November of last year.
In total, eight people were arrested in relation to that fight on Nov. 21 and an ensuing one the next day on Callie Downs Drive in the northern part of Hall County.
During the ongoing investigation, Hall County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) investigators determined Ishmael Joshua Marsh struck a 17-year-old teenage girl in the face with a closed fist during the fight at the park.
Marsh was arrested back in November before being released on bond.
"Marsh ended up in jail with a charge of affray, which is a misdemeanor charge," B.J. Williams with the sheriff's office said. "He was one of five people who had traveled to that residence on Callie Downs Drive and then a matter of days later he posted a bond of $650."
The victim’s jaw was reportedly broken as a result.
Another person, 18-year-old Emily Lynn Avendadno-Torres, was also charged in connection to the assault on the 17-year-old.
A warrant was issued for Marsh’s arrest on an aggravated battery charge on Jan. 24 and he remained at large until his arrest this week.
"He was actually found on Thompson Bridge Road last night," Williams said.
Williams added she believes he was found at a restaurant on Thompson Bridge Road.
Marsh is being held without bond at the Hall County Jail at this time.
