White Sulphur Road’s partial closure has been extended until April 14.
It was originally reported that White Sulphur Road near Cagle Road would be shut down from April 7 to April 11 for construction.
The extension is due to weather delays and “unexpected utility location issues.”
“Hall County strategically planned this road closure to align with our local schools’ spring break to mitigate travel inconveniences to our citizens,” Hall County Director of Public Works and Utilities Bill Nash said. “Unfortunately, construction projects do not always go as smoothly as we hope, but we are working diligently with the contractor, E.R. Snell, to complete this work as quickly as possible.”
Local traffic will continue to have access to the roadway throughout the closure while through traffic will have to detour onto Ramsey Road and Cornelia Highway.
