ATHENS, Ga. — On Tuesday, the Lakeview boys soccer team shut out Athens Christian, 3-0.
Bora Ozcelik opened the scoring, finding the back of the net on an assist from Eli Mayfield. Later, Mayfield converted a header off a corner kick delivered by William Hake to go up 2-0. Palmer White sealed the win with a goal from the penalty spot.
Jacob Kelly recorded the shutout in goal, making six saves in the process.
Lakeview improves to 1-4 overall, with a 1-3 record in region play.
