A Demorest man and Cleveland woman were charged with trafficking methamphetamine in Habersham County.
A Facebook post from the Habersham County Sheriff’s Office Thursday said Jeremy Keith May, 34, and Meagan Brooke Hutcheson, 25, were arrested on drug charges on March 18 just outside of Cornelia.
The arrest occurred when May was reportedly about to enter the Dollar General store on Pea Ridge Rd. Habersham County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Unit and Habersham County Sheriff’s Office Special Operations Unit and K9’s were involved in the investigation.
May and Hutcheson were charged with trafficking methamphetamine. May also faces multiple outstanding out-of-county arrest warrants.
No other details were released in the case.
