Baseball: Big Red goes for 4th straight win in 7-5A; NoFo, Jackson Co., Hab Central look to even series

Wednesday will highlight Regions 6-6A, 8-5A, and 7-5A continuing key series' for several northeast Georgia area teams.

North Forsyth (11-7, 3-4 Region 6-6A) will try to even up its series with West Forsyth (10-6, 5-2 Region 6-6A) at home after a road loss to the Wolverines on Monday.

In Region 8-5A, five teams sit within two games of second place after Monday's action. Habersham Central (8-8, 2-2 Region 8-5A) will play host to Class 5A No. 3 Loganville (10-3, 3-0 Region 8-5A) trying to split the season series. Jackson County (9-6, 2-1 Region 8-5A) also will try to get a split in its season series with Clarke Central (8-10, 2-3 Region 8-5A) and stay in third place after the Gladiators knocked off the Panthers in Athens on Monday.

In Region 7-5A, Gainesville (5-11, 3-4 Region 7-5A) will go for a second-straight series win over Lanier (4-13, 1-9 Region 7-5A) at Ivey-Watson. The Red Elephants have won a season-high three straight.

In all, just four games are on tap involving four area teams on Wednesday.
