The City of Gainesville's Public Works Department (DPW) has announced that the planned stormwater improvement work conducted along Gainesville's Brenau Avenue is requiring extended closures of the roadway.
Gainesville's DPW crews continue to block Brenau Avenue, between Green and Bradford Streets, until the end of Tuesday, March 4. A release from the City of Gainesville's DPW says they anticipate the reopening of Brenau Avenue for the morning of March 5.
The City of Gainesville Public Works Department is announcing a temporary street closure in downtown Gainesville.
The department made the announcement on Thursday that Brenau Avenue from Green Street to Bradford Street will be closed to traffic beginning on Monday, Feb. 24 through Friday, Feb. 28 due to stormwater improvements in the area.
City of Gainesville officials advises commuters to seek area alternates for the week, and to plan your commute accordingly.
