Tennis: North Hall sweeps Lanier

SUGAR HILL, Ga. — North Hall traveled to Lanier on Wednesday and delivered a dominant performance, sweeping both the boys' and girls' matches against the Longhorns.

The boys cruised to a 5-0 victory, while the girls secured a close 3-2 win.

The North Hall boys were nearly flawless, surrendering only two games throughout the match.

Jack Maddox led the way at No. 1 singles, followed by strong wins from Griffin Keener at No. 2 and Cole Grover at No. 3. In doubles action, James Floyd and Brooks Dorsey locked down the No. 1 match, while Easton McNair and Alex Crocker took care of business at No. 2 doubles.

On the girls' side, Emma Allen delivered a key win at No. 3 singles, while the doubles teams of Ellie Bangs and MaryEloise Tymchuk (No. 1) and Addie Bangs and Neely Vining (No. 2) secured the deciding victories to lift North Hall past Lanier.

With the wins, both North Hall teams improve to 5-2 on the season. The Trojans now turn their focus to region play, which begins next Tuesday when they host Lumpkin County at home.
