The Town of Braselton has announced its upcoming Community Clean-Up Event which is scheduled to take place on Saturday, March 29.
Volunteers of all ages are invited to join the event which will begin at the Asa Carlton building located at 100 High Point Parkway between 8:30 a.m. and 9:30 a.m.
The initiative for the clean-up aims to encourage environmental awareness, enhance community engagement, and beautify shared spaces.
Participants will then move to designated areas throughout the town to collect litter, remove debris, and tidy up public spaces.
Trash bags, safety vests and other clean-up materials will be provided.
"This clean-up event is more than just picking up trash; it's about coming together as a community to demonstrate our commitment to preserving and enhancing the environment we all share," said Amy Pinnell, Community Development Direct for the Town of Braselton. "By taking action together, we can create a cleaner, healthier, and more vibrant community for everyone."
"We believe in the power of collective action and the positive ripple effects it can have on our community," added Christopher Sorrell, Braselton’s Stormwater Manager. "Together, we can inspire change, instill a sense of pride in our surroundings, and create a lasting impact for generations to come."
All participants who pre-register before 5 p.m. on March 27 can request a free T-shirt to pick up on the morning of the event.
Those who do not pre-register will still be able to pick up a shirt on a first-come, first-serve basis while supplies last.
