A Saturday morning wreck on Ga. 365 in Habersham County left one person dead.
Georgia State Patrol reported Troopers responded to a two-vehicle crash at Wilbanks Rd. at 9:42 a.m.
An initial investigation into the accident revealed the driver of a Toyota Prius failed to yield after stopping at a stop sign and entered the path of a Kia Forte that was also traveling on the roadway, causing the Prius to be struck in the driver's side.
Both drivers were transported to Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville for treatment. The driver of the Prius later succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead by hospital staff.
The names of the individuals involved have not been released.
