The Sautee Nacoochee Center will host two events coming up next week and invites the public to attend both of the festivities.
The Native Peace Garden Workday will be held on Thursday, Jan. 9 from 9:00 a.m. through 11:00 a.m.
Those who attend can join fellow nature devotees in the garden for pruning, weeding and grooming.
On Sunday, Jan. 12 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. the Sautee Nacoochee Center will host the Environmental Movie Fun Series: A Life on Our Planet.
For $10 dollars guests will be able to watch the film with popcorn and have the choice of either a glass of wine or soft drink.
The film speaks about changes to the natural world witnessed over the lifetime of biologist David Attenborough.
Dr. James Smoot, a retired director of NASA’s Earth Science office at Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville, AL, will also discuss practical ways to address climate change.
More information about both upcoming events can be found here.
