The Barrow County Animal Shelter is going to be closed from Jan. 6 to Jan. 10 as renovations are completed on an expansion to the kennel area.
During that time, adoptions and intakes will be available on an appointment-only basis.

“We appreciate everyone’s patience during this time as we work to improve the shelter in order to provide more effective services to our four-legged citizens,” Barrow County Animal Control Director Jackie Fryman said. “Rest assured that during these important renovations, the highest level of care will continue to be given to the animals in our care.”
The shelter should be back up on running by Saturday, Jan. 11.
