The Georgia Bureau of Investigation is investigating an officer-involved shooting in Lumpkin County that left one man with serious injuries.
The Lumpkin County Sheriff’s Office posted to Facebook Saturday that deputies were called to a domestic dispute in the area of Cavender Creek that resulted in gunfire when a deputy shot a reported suspect.
The man who was shot was sent to Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville along with his wife, who was reportedly injured by the suspect.
The officer involved was not harmed, according to LCSO. No other information was available as of the last report.
