OAKWOOD, Ga. — Chestatee snapped a four-game losing streak and got its first Region 6-3A win of the season on Saturday.
The War Eagles pounded out 425 yards rushing en route to a 56-0 win over Johnson at The Dungeon.
Chestatee (2-4, 1-2 Region 6-3A) was paced by Ben Plemons, who had 137 yards on the ground on just 6 carries with a pair of TDs and added 48 yards receiving and another score. Hector Espinoza had 6 carries for 122 yards with a touchdown and had 30 receiving yards for the War Eagles.
A young and rebuilding Johnson (0-5, 0-2 Region 6-3A) offense struggled against an improved Chestatee defense. Caysen Goss, Joe Blaker, and Hayden Sullens combined for 19 tackles and 3 TFL for the War Eagles.
Chestatee is off next week before playing host to Pickens on Oct. 11 at the Lynn Cottrell Complex.
