Severe weather storms are creating issues for Hall County's roadways

By Steve Winslow Anchor/Reporter
For any commuters looking to get ahead of the conditions affecting roadways during the Helene storm, a sign of caution comes from Hall County officials.

Overnight updates from authorities in Hall County have been constantly working to keep roadways and state highways as passable as possible, while strongly urging everyone who is not in an emergency or essential with work to stay home with current effects from Hurricane Helene causing major issues.

Hall County administrators report that as of 3:00 Friday morning, there have been 71 roadway incidents (downed trees, traffic signal issues, etc.) in their county alone, which have been addressed since Wednesday evening.

Hall authorities plan to update their overall status throughout the day on Friday, as Helene continues northward from the Florida Panhandle and South Georgia, where it peaked as a Category 4 Hurricane late Thursday night.
