Gainesville City and Hall County schools announced Wednesday afternoon they will be closed to students and staff on Thursday and Friday.
School officials said the early morning will be safe for passage but they are not confident about the afternoon and anticipated wind late Thursday and Friday.
Lakeview Academy and Banks County Schools announced they will be closed Thursday and Friday.
Classes will be conducted online for Hall County Schools.
Hall County schools said all extracurricular events for both days are canceled or postponed.
