The City of Winder has taken its next step toward completing its management staff this week.
Mayor Jimmy Terrell and the Winder City Council voted on Thursday evening to appoint Johnathan Lynn as their next City Administrator.
Lynn will be responsible for the overall management and coordination of the city's municipal services, and will closely work with the council and Mayor Terrell on implementing Winder's policies and initiatives.
Lynn brings over 17 years of experience in local government management, with experience in working for city governments located in Georgia and Virginia. This, following his educational background in Public Administration between his time at Georgia Southern, where he earned a Master's degree for Public Administration (MPA), after his education in a Certified Public Manager (CPM) program from the University of Georgia.
Mayor Terrell said followin Thursday's vote, "We are excited to welcome Jonathan Lynn to Winder. His extensive experience and innovative approach will be valuable as we continue to grow.”
Lynn added through a press statement, "I am honored to join the City of Winder and look forward to working with the talented team of professionals dedicated to serving our community."
