GAINESVILLE, Ga. — Lakeview quarterback Kyair Burch and receiver Jr. Thompson connected for the game-winning touchdown against George Walton on Friday.
Burch hit Thompson four times for 59 yards on the game's final drive, including the 3-yard TD pass with six seconds left in the game. The win kept the Lions undefeated at 5-0 and atop the GIAA District 4A/3A standings.
Burch completed 21-of-28 passes for 273 yards and three touchdowns. Thompson caught 13 for 176 yards and two scores.
