By Hamilton Keener Anchor / Reporter

The Georgia Bureau of Investigation arrested a White County man on Sunday on child molestation and sexual exploitation charges after a search of his home.

The GBI said their Child Exploitation and Computer Crimes Unit began investigating Christopher Tench, 32 after they received a tip from the Dawson County Sheriff’s Office of possible online possession and production of child sexual abuse material.

A search of Tench’s home was executed on Sept. 8 by DCSO, the White County Sheriff’s Office and the GBI Appalachian Regional Drug Enforcement Office.

Tench was charged with four counts of child molestation and six counts of sexual exploitation of children.

Tench was booked into the White County Jail.

Anyone with information about other cases of child exploitation is asked to contact the Georgia Bureau of Investigation Child Exploitation Unit at (404) 270-8870 or report via the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children CyberTipline at CyberTipline.org.
