Two Interventional Cardiologists with the Georgia Heart Institute recently resigned from their positions.
Northeast Georgia Health System president and CEO Carol Burrell released a statement on the resignation of Dr. Habib Samady, noting his achievements with the institute.
“We are thankful for what Dr. Samady was able to help us achieve during the past three years towards our shared vision of building the state's premier heart and vascular program,” Burrell said in the release. “Perhaps his most impactful accomplishment was recruiting several well-known physician leaders from across the nation who have brought expertise and forward thinking innovation, which has led to us achieving several ‘firsts’ in the state and nation for patient care.”
Dr. Greg Giugiano also resigned.
No other information has been released on their resignations.
