LOCUST GROVE, Ga. – Tysean Wiggins came close to 200 yards and three scores on the night as Commerce got their first win of the 2024 season with a 24-14 win over Luella Friday night.
Wiggins got his first touchdown of the night midway through the first quarter on a 7-yard push to take the early lead. The Lions scored the next two touchdowns to take a 14-7 lead into halftime, but that was all Luella would get.
After a field goal made it 14-10, Wiggins had his second score of the night, this time from 17 yards away, to take a 17-14 lead. He then capped off the night with a 2-yard plunge late in the fourth quarter to put the game out of reach.
Jaiden Daniels rushed for over 100 yards in his first start at quarterback for the Tigers.
Commerce will hit the road again next week for a trip to Madison County.
