By AccessWDUN Staff

DAWSONVILLE, Ga. – East Jackson scored early and often Friday night in a 37-10 win over Dawson County at Tiger Stadium.

Drew Richardson wasted no time scoring on the Eagles' opening drive, going for a 71-yard sprint to score the first points of the night. After the Tigers answered with a Jacob Felkai 33-yard field goal, BT Callahan found an opening for a 69-yard touchdown to push the score to 14-3 after the first quarter.

East Jackson kept their foot on the gas in the second quarter, scoring on a 38-yard pass from Richardson to Callahan before a 9-yard pass from Richardson to Brady Saunders. Richardson then found another long touchdown run midway through the third quarter, this time for 65 yards.

The Tigers found the endzone late in the third quarter when Preston Bannister punched it in from two yards out, but an Eagle safety put the punctuation mark on the end of the game.

The Eagles ran for 271 yards on the night, highlighted by Richardson's 171 and a pair of touchdowns.

East Jackson will head to White County next week, while the Tigers will head to Banks County.
