Jennifer Scott and Jim Edwards earned Silver Beaver awards from the Northeast GA Council of Boy Scouts at its annual awards presentation Sunday.
The Silver Beaver award is the highest form of recognition that a local scout council can present to a volunteer.
The award, which was created in 1931, recognizes distinguished service to youth by a volunteer.
Scott is the longtime town manager and clerk in Braselton and began her Boy Scout service in 2013 as a den leader and pack trainer.
Edwards serves as Assistant Scoutmaster for Troop 597 and is also Vice President of properties for the Council.
The Northeast GA Boy Scouts council serves boys and troops across twenty-six counties and is based in Jefferson.
This year, ten individuals earned the Silver Beaver award.
