Football: Cherokee Bluff blows past Apalachee

APALACHEE, Ga. – KT Thompson had four touchdown catches as Cherokee Bluff took down Apalachee, 49-7, Friday night.

The Bears opened the scoring as Brooks Brien found Thompson just three minutes into the game for 43 yards and the opening score. After Jackson Pirkle found paydirt from six yards out on the next drive, Thompson caught his second touchdown of the night with 1:30 left in the first to make the score, 21-7.

Thompson scored again late in the first half with a 24-yard touchdown reception before his final touchdown grab midway through the third quarter from 11 yards out. In total, Thompson had five catches for 97 yards, while Pirkle led the rushing attack with 62 yards.

Cherokee Bluff will host North Hall next week as the Bears will look to go to 3-0 in 2024.
