Summer is winding down and Labor Day is just around the corner, but there is plenty to do this weekend as well!

CONCERTS

Event Name: Back In Time Band
Event Date & Time: Saturday, August 23, 8 p.m.
Event Location: The Lawn at Smithgall Arts Center, 331 Spring St., Gainesville
Event Details: Free outdoor concert rain or shine! Bring your lawn chairs or picnic blankets. This 11 Piece Rock-N-Roll Band also does Soul & East Coast Beach Music. Classics from the 60’s, 70’s and 80’s means there’s music for all ages to enjoy!  Tickets cost $25 or more (and require an additional $5 in taxes and fees). Event Name: Dave Matthews Tribute Band
Event Date & Time: Friday, August 16, 7 p.m. 
Event Location: Lou Sobh Amphitheater, Cumming City Center, Cumming  
Event Details: Free concert for the whole community. Enjoy your favorite Dave Matthews Band songs! No coolers, outside food. Just bring a lawn chair or blanket and your friendly dogs on a leash.    

Event Name: End of the Line, Allman Brothers Tribute Band
Event Date & Time: Saturday, August 24, 7:30 p.m.
Event Location: Holly Theater, Dahlonega
Event Details: This group is advertised as being as classic and heavy as the original Brothers! With endorsements from the official Allman Brothers Museum, they certainly carry on the legacy. Event Name: The Beat Goes On, a Cher Tribute Concert
Event Date & Time: Friday, August 23, 8 p.m.
Event Location: Lawrenceville Lawn, 147 Luckie St., Lawrenceville
Event Details: Cher is perfectly captured by this Broadway-style live stage show by singer and actress Lisa McClowry. She was named Tribute Artist of the Year. Event Name: August Sunset Concert, 120 East
Event Date & Time: Friday, August 23, 8:15 p.m.
Event Location: West Milford Farm, 7938 Ga-372, Cumming 
Event Details: Back by popular demand, 120 East brings classic rock ‘n roll music with a 10-member band. You’ll hear music from Billy Joel, Blues Brothers, Blood Sweat and Tears, Santana and more! Event Name: Dueling Pianos 
Event Date & Time: Saturday, August 24, 8 p.m.
Event Location: StillFire Brewing, 343 US-23 Suwanee, GA
Event Details: The Andrew’s Brothers Dueling Pianos make for a fun show in the brew garden (weather permitting). This all-request sing-along music and comedy show is not for kids but fun for adults. There is a $5 cover starting at 6 p.m.

Event Name: Braselton Artisan Festival
Event Date & Time: Friday, August 23 – Sunday, August 25, Various Times
Event Location: Downtown Braselton 
Event Details: Over 300 vendors line the streets of Downtown Braselton to welcome shoppers from all over! There will be fun, music, food trucks and plenty of things to see and down when you visit Downtown Braselton!

Event Name: Artrageous Festival and Live Paint Project
Event Date & Time: Saturday, August 24, 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Event Location: Braselton Civic Center, Braselton
Event Details: This art festival and live paint project downtown in the Civic Center will feature fine art and fine craft artists showcasing their best works in various mediums. Also ArtSquared is a live paint project with 12 artists each commissioned to paint one side of an 8-foot cube. After the event the cubes will be moved an on display throughout downtown Braselton. ArtRageous is hosted by the Braselton Downtown Development Authority as part of an ongoing effort to bring art and continued beautification to downtown Braselton. Event Name: Summer Harvest Festival  
Event Date & Time: Saturday, August 24, 10 a.m. – 3 p.m.
Event Location: Hardman Farm State Historic Site, Sautee Nacoochee 
Event Details: Have some fun on the farm with live music, a BBQ food truck, and some old fashioned games. Take a hayride, visit with farm animals or enjoy an open house in the 1870’s era mansion. Also, this year is the first ever Plant & Garden Swap! Swap your extra garden or houseplant cuttings, seedlings, bulbs & seeds and take home some “new to you” plants. Event Name: Athens Brewsic Fest
Event Date & Time: Saturday, August 24, 2 – 10 p.m.
Event Location: Terrapin Athens, 265 Newton Bridge Rd., Athens
Event Details: This event is partnering with Athenspets (an all-volunteer organization) to create an array of local vendors, pets up for adoption, live music from six different bands, and a large selection of craft beer. Music lovers, beer lovers and those who are both can certainly enjoy this fun event. 

Event Name: Southeast Asian Summer Festival
Event Date & Time: Saturday, August 24, 2 – 8 p.m.
Event Location: Gwinnett County Fairgrounds, 2405 Sugarloaf Pkwy., Lawrenceville
Event Details: Experience Asian culture with food, workshops and vendors. Some highlights include an eggroll eating competition, a wellness workshop and more! Get tickets at myriadeventsllc.com

Event Name: Great SE Pollinator Census
Event Date & Time: Saturday, August 24, 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.
Event Location: Wimberly Center, Winder
Event Details: This free and fun event is a family-friendly gathering dedicated to celebrating and educating about pollinators, agriculture and healthy eating. Event Name: Auto Crusade Car Show & Autocross
Event Date & Time: Friday, August 23 – Saturday, August 24, Various Times
Event Location: Cumming Fairgrounds, 235 Castleberry Rd., Cumming

Event Name: Georgia Mountain Fair 
Event Date & Time: Now – Saturday, August 24, Various Times
Event Location: Georgia Mountain Fairgrounds, 1311 Music Hall Rd., Hiawassee

THEATER PRODUCTIONS

Event Name: Disney’s Beauty And The Beast
Event Date & Time: Friday, August 23 – Sunday, August 25, Various Times
Event Location: Forsyth County Arts and Learning Center, 1150 Dahlonega Highway, Cumming
