Flowery Branch man back in jail on charges related to child sex abuse material

By Will Daughtry News Reporter

A Flowery Branch man who was arrested earlier this year on sexual exploitation of children charges will now face hundreds of added charges related to the possession of child sex abuse material.

19-year-old Mario Jovon Lindsey was arrested on April 9 after a Hall County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) investigation.

The investigation began after cybertips from the Georgia Bureau of Investigation’s (GBI) Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force.

“There were videos of a sexual nature involving children found in his possession at that time,” HCSO spokesperson B.J. Williams said. “ Lindsey remained in jail until April 11, when he was released from custody on a bond of $8,850.”

Williams added that the investigation into his online activity continued.

That led to the latest charges after forensic processing of electronic devices from Lindsey’s residence seized in April.

Investigators found an additional 300 images of children engaged in “sexually explicit” activity on Lindsey’s laptop and cellphone.

Lindsey was booked into the Hall County Jail on Wednesday and is being held without bond at this time.
