By Steve Winslow Anchor/Reporter

A midday wreck in White County Thursday has left two drivers injuried with one facing charges.

White County Sheriff's Office and the county's emergency service crews responded to a two vehicle wreck just before 12:00 noon on Thursday, August 8 along the 5700 block of Highway 115. White County Sheriff's Office Captain Clay Hammond says a Chevrolet Camero driven by 36-year old Michael Daughenbaugh of Demorest was traveling west on Highway 115 and was slowing down to turn left.

Hammond says the Camero was struck in the rear by the Chevrolet Malibu driven by 30-year old Justin Frye of Dahlonega, who was also traveling westbound.  The wreck left the road with limited lane access at the scene for nearly one hour.

Both Frye and Daughenbaugh were taken to the Northeast GA Medical Center in Gainesville by White County EMS.  Frye has been charged with Following too Closely and Knowingly Driving Motor Vehicle on a Suspended Registration.
