Georgia men to face Grand Canyon in Holiday Hoopsgiving

By Georgia Sports Communications

ATHENS, Ga. — For the second time in three seasons, Georgia will take part in Holiday Hoopsgiving at State Farm Arena in Atlanta. On Saturday, Dec. 14, the Bulldogs will face Grand Canyon as part of a triple header at the venue.

Georgia will be playing the Antelopes for the first time ever. The event also includes outings featuring Auburn vs. Ohio State and Florida vs. Arizona State.

Two seasons ago, Georgia defeated Notre Dame, 77-62, in a Hoopsgiving outing on Dec. 18, 2022. Braelen Bridges scored 18 points on a perfect 9-of-9 shooting effort from the floor to lead the Bulldogs against the Irish. Bridges earned SEC Player of the Week honors following his win.

All three Hoopsgiving games will be televised live on ESPN Networks, making this a must-watch event for basketball fans across the country. The event has quickly become one of the premier neutral-site events in college basketball, with a lineup that includes powerhouse programs from the SEC, Big Ten, Big 12 and the WAC.

“Holiday Hoopsgiving continues to grow year after year, and we are thrilled to host another incredible lineup of teams at State Farm Arena for the fifth year anniversary,” said Christopher Williams, CEO of event organizer The VII Group. “This event not only brings top-tier basketball to Atlanta but also provides these student-athletes with a unique opportunity to compete on a big stage in front of a national audience.”

Tickets for the 2024 Holiday Hoopsgiving will go on sale at a later date. For more information on the event, including ticket sales and game times, please visit HolidayHoopsgiving.com
