A 34-year-old Ohio man faces a charge of felony interference with custody in Hall County for the disappearance of 12-year-old Maria Gomez-Perez.
The Tuscarawas County Sheriff’s Office said on Facebook that Antonio Agustin, age 34 of Dover will be held in Ohio until extradition is arranged and ordered by the court.
Several other charges are expected to be filed and Hall County will be given priority of prosecution.
“This decision was agreed upon by County Prosecutor Ryan Styer and the Georgia prosecutor,” Tuscarawas Sheriff's officials said on social media.
Immigration and Customs Enforcement also placed a hold on Agustin.
