Forsyth County's financial status maintains top quality ranking

By Steve Winslow Anchor/Reporter

Forsyth County Financial leaders are joining their Hall County counterparts this month in gaining top ratings for its credit ratings.

This year, Fitch Ratings Incorporated joined Standard and Poor along with Moody's 2022 reviews in giving Forsyth County's government a AAA bond credit rating for 2024.

County manager David McKee credited Chief Financial officer Brian Clark, Forsyth's finance staff and the citizens for the outstanding achievement.

Fitch Ratings Incorporated notes that the combination of high revenue control assessment and expenditure control contributed to Forsyth County's top-quality rating.

Last week, Fitch improved Hall County's Issuer Default Rating (IDR) from a previous AA+ rank, to AAA status.
