Forsyth County Sheriff's Office seek to identify driver in hit-and-run

The Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office issued a “Be On The Lookout” alert for a black Ford F-150 truck suspected of being involved in a hit-and- run incident on June 17. 

The truck reportedly struck the rear end of a white Chrysler minivan at the intersection of Ronald Reagan Blvd. and Peachtree Pkwy. while the van stopped for a yellow traffic signal at 8:40 p.m. 

The Ford F-150 then reversed on Ronald Regan Bldv. and entered the parking lot of the RaceTrac store on Peachtree Pkwy, exiting onto Peachtree Pkwy southbound. 

The suspected vehicle is described as having an extra cab and lifted, oversized tires, flat back paint, and a bumper with a winch on the front of the truck. The truck also has tubular rock slider bars on the cab, light bar at the front of the front of the cab and a camper shell enclosing the truck’s bed. 

Anyone who may be able to identify the driver of the truck is asked to call the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office Traffic Specialist Unit at 770-781-3087.
