By Hamilton Keener Anchor / Reporter

A 17-year-old male is dead after a Thursday night shooting at a home on Memorial Court in Lawrenceville.

Lt. Josh Morris with the Lawrenceville Police Department said officers responded to the scene just after 10:00 p.m. and found the 17-year-old victim semi-conscious, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds in the front yard of a house.

Officers provided aid to the victim and talked to him. He was able to give limited information before he was transported to a local hospital where he died of his injuries.

Detectives and officers began investigating the scene and located the suspected firearm.

Morris said officers determined the victim's girlfriend knew the suspect.

Officers identified the suspect as Uriah Sincere Hall, 19.

Hall was located and taken for questioning. He was then arrested and charged with aggravated assault, felony murder and possession of a firearm during the commission of certain crimes.

The name of the victim is being withheld until the next of kin is notified.

The case remains under investigation.
