Event Name: Flowery Branch Summer Block Party

Event Details: Kick off the summer with A1A, a Jimmy Buffet tribute band, food trucks, and family friendly activities. Grab a lawn chair, bring the family and celebrate the start of summer in true “island” style!

Event Name: Juneteenth Celebration

Event Location: Butler Center, 1300 Athens St., Gainesville
Event Details: The Gainesville-Hall County Black History Society wants to celebrate with the community! There will be family fun, food, games, history, resources, activities and music. Juneteenth is a federal holiday celebrated annually on June 19 to commemorate the ending of slavery in the US. It was on June 19, 1865 when the final enforcement of the Emancipation Proclamation was ordered in Texas at the end of the Civil War.

Event Name: Baldwin Water War

Event Location: Mitchell Gailey Park, 155 Willingham Ave., Baldwin
Event Details: Join Baldwin residents and city staff in the annual Baldwin Water War. Bring towels, sunscreen and your water guns to “beat the heat.” Questions? Email [email protected].

Event Name: Movie Night in the Park & Local Makers Market

Friday, June 14, 5 – 11 p.m.
Event Location: Freedom Park, Highway 115E, Cleveland
Event Details: The event begins at 7 p.m. with live music, bounce house, lawn games and more. The Bridge Church will be passing out free snow cones, cotton candy, popcorn and face painting. The movie will begin at 9 p.m. There will be crafted, jewelry and boutique vendors on site for the fun.

Event Name: Movies Under the Stars

Saturday, June 16, 7 p.m.
Event Location: Town Green, Braselton
Event Details: This month’s movie is “Barbie.” Bring your family, pets, and lawn chairs and enjoy a movie! Grab dinner at on of the nearby restaurants, or there will be concessions with Frozen Frenzee. Concessions will be available starting at 7 p.m. but the movie will begin at dark. Event Name: BeerFest

Event Location: Cumming City Center, The Well, Cumming
Event Details: Join the 2nd Annual Cumming Beer Fest. Tickets are $50 at the door, $100 for VIP tickets. If you don’t want to sample beer, entry is free. Come enjoy the live music by “Dock Rock Radio” at the Lou Sobh Amphitheater. General admission ticket price includes samples of beer from GA breweries. Event Name: Duluth Rotary Car Show

Saturday, June 15, 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.
Event Location: Main St., Duluth
Event Details: This family-friendly event is free to the community. Awards will be given for various categories while you enjoy patriotic performances. Grab lunch from one of the nearby restaurants and browse the cars, casting a vote for your favorite. The proceeds from this event will go to Operation One Voice – a nonprofit that assists families of fallen soldiers and police officers. Have a car to show? Registration will be open on the day of the event, as long as space allows. The entry fe is $25 per vehicle.

Event Name: Live in the DTL Juneteenth Concert
