The Executive Director of Career, Technical and Agricultural Education for Hall County Schools Rhonda Samples is retiring.
The retirement was announced by the school district Friday afternoon. Samples, who was a graduate of North Hall High School and worked at both NHHS and Chestatee High School, began her teaching career in 1981. She worked a total of 44 years with the school district.
"Rhonda Samples has been an invaluable asset to the Hall County School District and the heart and soul of our CTAE Program," Hall County Schools Superintendent Will Schofield said. "We are immensely grateful for Rhonda's leadership, her vision and her heart for students."
Samples became director of the CTAE program in 2015 but began working in the program in 2008 as assistant director. Friday's release from the county also said she worked alongside Schofield to develop the Hall County Agribusiness Center.
Samples also worked as the CEO of Lanier College and Career Academy.
“I have truly cherished my time in education with Hall County Schools,” Samples said. “Thank you for allowing me to serve the District in multiple roles. I have been very passionate about Career Technical and Agricultural Education because I know our career pathways and Work-Based Learning experiences are genuinely creating connections and opening doors for students’ futures. I too am a product of a CTAE Program."
