Hall County Schools Superintendent Will Schofield announced Friday he will recommend Heather Davis as the next Principal of Flowery Branch Elementary School.
Hall County school officials said the recommendation will be made at the May 20 board of education meeting.
“I am honored and excited to have the opportunity to serve as the new principal of Flowery Branch Elementary,” Davis said. “I look forward to working alongside the amazing educators, students, and families in the community to continue providing our young learners with an enriching educational experience. We will work together to continue building the foundation for future success.”
Davis taught middle school math for eleven years in Cobb County, Gainesville City, and Forsyth County. She served as assistant principal at Friendship Elementary for the past four years.
“We are excited for the students, teachers, and families of Flowery Branch Elementary School,” Schofield said. “Heather Davis has a proven track record as classroom instructor and as an instructional leader. Her pedagogy is solid, and her ability to build relationships with students, team members, and families will be assets to the Flowery Branch community.”
Davis has a Bachelor of Science in Middle Grades Math and Social Studies, a Master’s in Middle Grades Math and Science and an Ed.S. in Leadership from the University of North Georgia.
She will replace Principal Amy Bright, who will retire at the end of the school year.
