By Caleb Hutchins Assistant News Director

Winder police have arrested two people and are looking for a third in connection with an April drive-by shooting at a gas station in the city.

A release Friday afternoon from the Winder Police Department said the incident happened April 24 at the Shell gas station on East Midland Avenue at N. Williams Street. Officials said officers were called around 7:30 p.m. that night to reports of shots fired.

When officers arrived, they reportedly found shell casings littering the scene, including one that impacted near the gas pumps. Police did not report if anyone was injured in the shooting.

Police identified a vehicle in the case, as well as three suspects. Two of those suspects, Avonte Rogers, age 20 of Statham, and Tatianna Wilbon, age 22 of Athens, have been arrested. Authorities are still searching for Brayson Hayes, age 23 of Statham.

All three are facing charges of aggravated assault, while Rogers and Hayes are also facing charges of reckless conduct. Anyone with information on Hayes' location is asked to contact Winder police.

The shooting is still under investigation.
