A man was injured in an apparent electrical accident at a church in Habersham County Sunday afternoon.
A report from the Habersham Public Information Office Monday morning said two people were inside Habersham Church of Christ on Double Bridge Road near Demorest when emergency crews were called to a possible electrocution around 3:15 p.m. When officials got to the scene, they reportedly found a man suffering from electrical burns.
Officials said the man had been running HDMI cables when he made contact with electrical wires and was burned along with suffering other unspecified injuries. He was taken by ambulance to Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville for treatment.
His condition is not known at this time.
