A spike in gas prices for Hall County and statewide commuters

By Steve Winslow Anchor/Reporter

Be prepared to pay more at the pump in Georgia this week.

AAA of Georgia's website is showing the average price for unleaded regular gasoline is $3.43 per gallon, as of this report.  That's 10 cents above the average statewide price from last week, and 17 cents higher than from one month ago.

Montrae Waiters of AAA says that the growing tensions in the Middle East's diplomacy, coupled with crude oil prices sitting around $85 per barrel are the main contributing factors to the price increases.

Hall County commuters are seeing prices around the state's average at $3.43, with the lowest price in northeast Georgia in Towns County at $3.29 per gallon.  The highest average price is in Banks County at $3.47 per gallon.

Nationwide prices are averaging around $3.64 per gallon, according to the AAA website.  You can see the average prices, here.
