MONROE, Ga. — The Lakeview Academy boys won the GIAA Region 4A/3A title on Tuesday at the Monroe Country Club.
The Lions fired a 314 to hold off host George Walton by 10 strokes. The tournament also featured teams from Bethlehem Christian, Loganville Christian and Riverside Prep.
Tanner Stephens paced Lakeview with a 72, which was good for second place in the individual field. Nate St. Pierre finished third with a 78 and JT Bunch took fourth with a 79. Cade Williams of George Walton Academy won the individual title shooting a 67.
Lakeview advances to the GIAA state tournament on Monday, April 22 held at Glen Arven Country Club in Thomasville.
