By Steve Winslow Anchor/Reporter

A Georgia-based federal credit union is warning consumers about a phone call scam that could effect its customers.

A recent post on Towns County Sheriff's Office's social media page shows that Peach State Federal Credit Union is warning customers about a phone scam that is currently circulating through the region.

Peach State FCU officials say there have been reports of calls being made to its customers, where the caller warns of a security issue, and asks for your account's PIN, for your account information , or offers to help you change your PIN over the phone.

Towns County officials and Peach State FCU says to ignore the call, hang up and contact Peach State's offices with details, at (855) 889-4328.
