A five vehicle wreck in Habersham County has left two drivers with injuries with another facing possible charges with Georgia State Patrol (GSP).
A release from the GSP says the chain reaction crash occured at around 5:00 p.m. Wednesday evening along Georgia 365 in the northbound lanes approaching the traffic lights at Demorest-Mt. Airy Road.
The 2015 Jeep Wrangler SUV driven by 37-year old Lauren Wykle of Lula was traveling north on GA 365 in the right lane when it approached the slowing 2006 Chevrolet Impala of Vicki Farivar of Mount AIry, in the right lane.
The GSP release says that's when Wykle's jeep struck Farivar's Impala, sending that car into the stopped Toyota Tacoma pickup truck driven by John Ferguson of Mount Airy and the Ford F150 pickup truck driven by Charles Wright of Toccoa.
GSP adds that jeep Wrangler then collided with a Subaru Forester of Stella Wooten of Clyde, North Carolina, also traveling north on GA 365 in the left lane.
Farivar and Ferguson were taken to Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville with undisclosed injuries.
Initial reports say Wykle's jeep was following too closely to the Impala when it struck the Impala, causing the Impala sedan to strike the other vehicles.
Charges have not been filed as of this report, while the GSP says charges are pending as their investigation continues.
