Biden, Trump easily win respective Presidential Primary elections in Georgia

By Austin Eller News Director

President Joe Biden and former President Donald Trump easily won the Democratic and Republican presidential primary elections in Georgia on Tuesday.

As of 9:30 p.m., with 56.6% of counties reporting, Biden had acquired over 95% of the Democratic vote while Trump had acquired nearly 83.5% of the Republican vote.

The results were unsurprising to analysts, as Biden and Trump were no longer facing any major opposition as of Tuesday.

Nikki Haley, Trump's last challenger, dropped out of the race last week in the wake of a series of Super Tuesday losses. However, Haley still pulled over 14% of the vote Tuesday.

Results were similar among Hall County voters, with 92% of Democratic voters choosing Biden as their nominee. 84% of Republican voters in Hall County cast their vote for Trump.

Full, updated results can be viewed on the Georgia Secretary of State's website.
