Two people were arrested Monday after they were found in possession of methamphetamine in Towns County.
In a Facebook post, the Towns County Sheriff's Office said their deputies received a call concerning possible drug activity on Vista Road.
Responding deputies determined Rebeka Eichhold, 28 of Blairsville had outstanding warrants in Cherokee County, GA and Clay County, NC.
A search resulted in the confiscation of a substance that field tested positive for methamphetamine.
Deputies arrested Eichhold and Kevin Ray Jones, 36, of Hiawassee.
Eichhold and Jones face charges of felony trafficking methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute, possession of methamphetamine and possession and use of drug-related objects.
“Working together with the citizens of Towns County will continue to keep our county a safe place to live,” Sheriff Ken Henderson said.
