ATLANTA, Ga. — Flowery Branch's Alyssa McSpadden and Piedmont University tennis teammate Abbey Grace Venham were named the CCS Doubles Team of the Week by the conference on Tuesday.
Venham doubled up as the senior standout took home CCS Player of the Week honors for the first time this season while earning CCS Doubles Team of the Week honors alongside teammate McSpadden.
The reigning CCS Player of the Year takes home top players honors in the league for the first time this season. The senior from Covington, Georgia, went 1-0 in both singles and doubles this week.
The veteran duo delivered a big win against a tough duo, defeating Bethel's Julia Baber and Lauryn Douglas. This marks Venham's second doubles team of the week honor this season, as she won with Bri Laidman earlier this season. McSpadden gets a conference weekly honor for the second straight week after earning the top player nod last week.
