By Caleb Hutchins Assistant News Director

A crash in South Hall County Wednesday morning left an Oakwood woman injured and shut down a major area roadway.

A report from the Georgia State Patrol said the accident happened just after 7:00 a.m. on McEver Road near Lake Run Drive between Flowery Branch and Buford.

Officials said a Honda Civic was going south on McEver Road when its driver, Katlyn Harper, age 24 of Oakwood, said it ran off the roadway, causing her to overcorrect into the opposite lane. She was then hit by a northbound Jeep Cherokee.

The driver of the Cherokee, Evan Zebrowski, age 27 of Sugar Hill, reportedly complained of injury but was not hospitalized. Harper was taken to Northeast Georgia Medical Center with visible injuries.

Harper was cited for failure to maintain lane. McEver Road was shut down for over an hour while authorities worked the scene.
